Blitzer Polizeikontrollen is a free Android travel and navigation application developed by PoKo UG. With over 20,000 fixed speed cameras and daily reports of over 2,500 mobile speed cameras, this app warns you of speed cameras, police checkpoints, accidents, and traffic jams.
If you spot a speed camera (fixed or mobile), accident, traffic jam, or police checkpoint, you can easily and quickly report it to warn other drivers. However, please note that using the app while driving is at your own risk and without guarantee.
The app's forum, which is also linked to the app, is for general discussion about road traffic, speed cameras, cars, etc. It also serves as a way to contact the moderators responsible for the Facebook pages and the app. Registration is required.
The app offers premium subscriptions that come with more benefits, such as no ads, live warning, route view while driving, and other small features. The premium membership is automatically renewed, but you can cancel it at any time in the user settings. The subscription period varies between one week, one month, three months, and one year, depending on the purchase. Your iTunes account will be charged upon purchase.
Please note that permanent access to GPS in the background can significantly affect battery life.
